The Basic offers the same curved solid-birch seat in a fixed-leg

The curve that changes the way you sit
The curved seat is at the heart of every IKUKO®. It helps the pelvis
find a balanced position while creating a more open angle between the
thighs and torso. This allows the spine to lengthen naturally and the
upper body to remain upright without unnecessary effort.
Rather
than holding the body in a rigid position, IKUKO® creates the conditions
for posture to feel stable, open, and relaxed—so attention can return
to breathing, awareness, and the practice itself.
Choose the height that fits your body
Your height is a useful starting point, but it is not the only
factor. Flexibility, leg proportions, mobility, and experience sitting
close to the floor can all influence which bench feels most comfortable.
Low — 16 cm / 6 in
Best suited to smaller or more flexible people who feel comfortable sitting close to the floor.
Standard — 18 cm / 7 in
The most versatile choice for many adults and a practical starting point for first-time users.
High — 20 cm / 8 in
Provides additional space for taller people, longer legs, or more limited mobility in the knees, hips, or ankles.
